Margaret Collins Totty, an assistant director at the Disability Resource Center, died on Aug. 31 after a battle with cancer. She was 57.
Totty, who joined UGA in 1990 as a disability specialist, became an assistant director in 2000. Prior to coming to UGA, Totty worked as a disability advocate and vocational rehabilitation consultant for 10 years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Arizona in 1978 and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from UGA in 1981.
A service for Totty was held Sept. 6 at Oconee Hill Cemetery.
