Paul Schempp, director of UGA’s Sport Instruction Research Laboratory and a professor of physical education in the department of kinesiology, received the E. W. Barker Professorship in Physical Education and Sport Science from the National Institute of Education in Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University.
Schempp will be in Singapore in late winter. Planned topics for lectures presented by Schempp during this time period include “The Skills and Characteristics of Expert Sport Instructors,” “The Three Keys to Developing Elite Athletes” and “Developing Expertise in Youth through Sport and PE.”
