Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center will present a Saxophone Extravaganza Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. The concert is part of the Saturday Morning Club series designed for children ages 4-12 and their parents and grandparents.
The Saxophone Extravaganza will feature student performers from the UGA Hugh Hodgson School of Music in a concert celebrating the 200th birthday of Adolphe Sax, the Belgian musical instrument designer who invented the saxophone.
Tickets for the concert are $6 for children and $10 for adults and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center, online at pac.uga.edu or by calling the box office at 706-542-4400 or toll free at 888-289-8497.
The Saturday Morning Club concert season will feature UGA Theatre on Feb. 14, UGA Dance on March 28 and UGA Symphony Orchestra on April. 18.
The Saturday Morning Club is presented in partnership with Athens Regional Health System.
The Saxophone Extravaganza is part of Spotlight on the Arts at UGA.

Presented by the UGA Arts Council, the third annual Spotlight on the Arts features more than 60 events in the visual, literary and performing arts.
