The lauded science illustration program at the University of California, Santa Cruz will close in the spring due to state budget cuts, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.
After more than 25 years of producing graduates who created art for museums, magazines and field guides, the program will no longer exist, along with the extension school’s English-language international program.
