Sex workers’ art show held at College of William and Mary

The College of William and Mary recently hosted a Sex Workers’ Art Show, despite criticism from some for allowing the program, which highlighted strippers, prostitutes and other sex-industry workers, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

President Gene R. Nichol initially asked students to relocate the event to a venue off campus. However, Nichol later said this decision would have been a violation of students’ First Amendment rights and academic freedom. The show is scheduled to visit more than a dozen college campuses this winter.
