Summer camps for children

The State Botanical Garden will offer summer camps for children again this year. Camp spaces will be assigned on a first come, first served basis; registration must be done in person at the education offices in the conservatory, between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., beginning March 22. A limited number of scholarships are available.  For more information, call 542‑6156.

“Give Plants a Voice Conservation Camp” is for ages 8-11. There are two single-week sessions, each running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Session 1 is  June 13-17 and session 2 is June 20-24. The fee is $100 ($95 for Garden members).

“Garden Earth Science Camp,” for ages 5-7, runs from 9 a.m. to noon each day. There are three sessions: July 5-8, July 11-15, and July 18-22. Cost is $80 ($75 for members).
