SUNY agrees to help students avoid deceptive credit card marketing

The attorney general of New York and officials at the State University of New York have reached an agreement to implement new measures on campus aimed at preventing students from becoming victims of “problematic” credit card marketing practices, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported. The agreement stems from a plan by Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, who has undertaken a statewide investigation into deceptive marketing practices by credit card companies that target college students.
