Tate Student Center Theater announces remainder of spring movie schedule

Athens, Ga. – The University Union Student Programming Board at the University of Georgia has announced the movie schedule for the Tate Student Center Theater through April 28.

Dates, titles and times are as follows:

• Thursday, March 28, “Cloud Atlas” (2012), 8 p.m.
• Friday-Sunday, March 29-31, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” (2012), 2:30, 6, 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 4, “The Others” (2001), 8 p.m.
• Friday-Sunday, April 5-7, “Lincoln” (2012), 2:30, 6, 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 11, “Smart House” (1999), 8 p.m.
• Friday and Sunday, April 12 and 14, “Zero Dark Thirty” (2012), 2:30, 6, 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 18, “Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation”* (1989), 8 p.m.
• Friday-Sunday, April 19-21, “Silver Linings Playbook” (2012), 2:30, 6, 9:30 p.m.
• Thursday, April 25, “Pay it Forward” (2000), 8 p.m.
• Friday-Sunday, April 26-28, “Django Unchained” (2012), 2:30, 6, 9:30 p.m.

* “Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation” is a frame-by-frame remake of Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film produced by three Mississippi teenagers over a seven-year period. One of the three, Chris Strompolos, will attend the screening and discuss the production of the film.

Admission is $2, or $1 for students with valid UGACards who pay activity fees on the Athens campus.

Films are chosen by students who serve on the executive board of the Cinematic Arts Division of University Union.
