The January issue of “HR News,” the newsletter from the Division of Human Resources, is posted on the HR Web site. From the main page, select HR News under the category “While you’re working at UGA.”
This issue includes details of several policy revisions. Topics covered include annual leave accrual, holiday pay, exit procedures for faculty and staff, hiring temporary staff through outside agencies and handling I-9 forms. There is also an update on the classification and pay project, a reminder about flexible-spending accounts, and an announcement of soon-to-be-launched online job posting and application procedures.
And the newsletter reports that the shared leave program had a successful first year. In 2004, UGA employees donated more than 14,000 leave hours to their colleagues.
