Tom Jackson received Georgia Education Advancement Council’s Distinguished Service Award

Tom Jackson, associate vice president for public affairs, received the Georgia Education Advancement Council’s Distinguished Service Award for outstanding achievement in public relations.

GEAC is an organization of people who work in educational advancement at Georgia’s public and private colleges and universities. The council presents annual awards for achievement in public relations, communications, fund raising and alumni relations.

Jackson served on the GEAC board of directors for the past eight years and was treasurer for the past six years. He is also a member and past chair of the University System of Georgia Public Relations Advisory Council.
