Twelve UGA employees retired Dec. 1. Retirees, their job classification, department and years of service are:

  • Donna E. Alvermann, Distinguished Research Professor, Mary Frances Early College of Education, language and literacy education department, 39 years, 3 months;
  • Susan Edwards, county secretary, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Southeast District County Extension Services, 16 years;
  • David A. Fulcher, IT professional, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, information technology, 13 years, 11 months;
  • Sheldon Hammond, district extension director, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Northwest District County Extension Services, 31 years, 11 months;
  • Bradford J. Hunt, IT executive director, Terry College of Business, information technology, 20 years, 6 months;
  • Timothy Pennell, facilities and security manager, University Libraries, Special Collections Libraries, 28 years, 3 months;
