UGA freshman receives 2011 Charles and Arlene Woods Scholarship

Athens, Ga. – Becca Brazelton, an incoming first-year student at the University of Georgia, has been awarded the Charles and Arlene Woods Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Brazelton is from Oxford and graduated from Newton High School. She is the daughter of Barry and Bonnie Brazelton.

The scholarship provides $1,000 for one year to an academically outstanding first-year undergraduate who is from Newton County. The scholarship is named in honor of UGA graduates Charles and Arlene Woods, who were members of the university’s Redcoat Marching Band.
