UGA Alumni and Athletic associations to hold UGA Day in New York

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Alumni Association and the UGA Athletic Association have teamed up to bring UGA Day to New York City on Nov. 1 at Viacom, located on the seventh floor of 1515 Broadway.

President Michael F. Adams will discuss the latest news from the university, and Greg McGarity, director of athletics, and Chris Haack, men’s golf coach, will share their insights into UGA sports. Former WSB-TV sports director and current UGA football sideline reporter Chuck Dowdle will serve as the host for the evening. In addition to hearing from these special guests, attendees also will learn how to become involved in the New York City Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association.

A reception for all attendees begins at 6 p.m., followed by the official program at 7 p.m. Registration is $15 per person and is free for children 6 and under.
