UGA Alumni Association announces third annual Bulldog 100 list

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Alumni Association’s third annual Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses class of 2012 has been announced from a list of more than 700 nominations. Each year, the Bulldog 100 determines the fastest growing businesses that are owned or operated by UGA alumni.

“All of these companies are to be congratulated for being among the Bulldog elite in the business world,” said Deborah Dietzler, the UGA Alumni Association executive director. “The celebration and unveiling of the rankings will be a special and exciting evening.”

UGA alumni and friends will celebrate Bulldog 100 honorees at a banquet on Jan. 21 at the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta. The evening includes a reception, dinner and awards ceremony. Keynote speaker Deborah Norville, anchor of “Inside Edition” and a 1979 UGA alumna, will lead attendees to the highlight of the evening—the release of the final rankings and countdown of the 2012 Bulldog 100.

Because selection for the Bulldog 100 is based on annual growth, the list includes companies ranging in all sizes and services—from major investment and insurance firms to local interior design specialists. Several different areas of the country are represented as well, including companies from Connecticut, Nebraska and New Mexico.

Atlanta CPA firm Gifford, Hillegass and Ingwersen LLC, verified information submitted by each company. The firm ranked the businesses based on a compounded annual growth rate during a three-year period.
