UGA Day at state Capitol

Students visited the Capitol on Feb. 9 for Dawgs at the Dome, an annual event allowing students to interact with lawmakers and showcase the university’s contributions to the state. Legislators, staff and lobbyists joined UGA President Jere W. Morehead, Provost Pam Whitten and students in the morning, and Gov. Nathan Deal and first lady Sandra Deal visited with members of the UGA community. The students were recognized in the Senate and House by Sen. Burt Jones (R-Jackson), Rep. Chuck Williams (R-Watkinsville) and other alumni legislators.
