UGA Graduate School to move downtown

Athens – After nearly 40 years in Boyd Graduate Studies Research Center on South Campus, the Graduate School is moving downtown. As of March 2007, it will be housed on the fourth floor of the historic Michael Brothers Building on the corner of Jackson and Clayton Streets.

The Graduate School will be closed Friday, March 2 – Friday, March 9 for the transition. Updates regarding the move can be found at www.grad.uga.edu. The new address is 320 E. Clayton Street, Suite 400, Athens, Georgia 30602-4401. The central phone number will remain the same, 706/542-1739.

Formally established in 1910, the Graduate School administers all graduate programs of the University of Georgia, including 95 doctoral, 143 master’s and 19 specialist degree programs. It also offers professional development seminars, a teaching portfolio program and other certificate programs to add to a master’s or doctoral degree, including the Graduate Certificate in University Teaching.
