Griffin, Ga. – The University of Georgia Griffin campus will provide a Fall Counselor Information Session Oct. 22 from 10 a.m.-noon in the Student Learning Center. The event will offer high school and college counselors, student affairs professionals and advisers an opportunity to connect with other educators.

The program “Let’s Weigh Your Options: Informing Students on Their Choices in Post-Secondary Education” will include a discussion and a sharing of best practices in graduating students and preparing them for college admittance.

“High school and college counselors play a significant role in the university and most importantly the lives of students,” said Jymmyca Wyatt, admissions counselor at UGA-Griffin. “They have a direct impact on the overall academic success of students, thereby contributing to strong retention and graduation rates.”
