The Office of the Vice President for Public Service and Outreach is accepting proposals until Sept. 17 for the 2008-2009 University Alliance Program grants. Funded by the Lilly Endowment Inc., the U.A. is a collaborative initiative of the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and UGA. The grant is administered by H.S.F.
Tenure track faculty, public service faculty, academic professionals and professional staff are invited to submit program proposals related to UGA outreach, recruitment, retention and graduation of Latino students. Program grants will range from $2,500 to $10,000, and notification will be sent by Oct. 6. Proposal criteria and eligibility requirements are online (http://outreach.uga.edu/publications).
