University Housing redesigns, reorganizes website

Redesigned and reorganized, the updated housing.uga.edu launched at the end of April.

University Housing developed the new streamlined site with input from student and staff stakeholders, as well as data provided by Google analytics. The relaunch to a WordPress platform was also an opportunity to refresh some branded elements on the site and to minimize text in favor of images and graphics. The new site includes more photos, an expanded library of 360-degree photos and video tours, an interactive map and a new student hub.

The homepage guides users on paths based on their status as prospective, incoming or current students in addition to camp/conference organizers. An API with the Student Involvement calendar means events and opportunities are shared more broadly with the student population, while a communication archive and well-being landing page mean on-campus residents have more resources at their fingertips.
