Vince Dooley honored with medal

Vince Dooley, former director of athletics and head football coach, was honored with the Clarice C. Bagwell Medal for Distinguished Service.

Presented by the Kennesaw State University Foundation, the award recognized Dooley’s “unselfish and tireless efforts promoting and championing KSU football and KSU athletics.” Since January 2010, Dooley has served as chair of the Kennesaw State Football Feasibility Committee, spearheaded athletic fundraising and acted as the face of the campaign to bring football to KSU.

Dooley served from 1964-1988 as UGA’s head football coach and as director of athletics from 1979-2004.
