Web, design support

A “virtual” support group has been created for designers and Web-masters on campus.

“Most designers are dabbling in the Web and most Webmasters are dabbling in design. And a lot of staff members out there are asked to do both,” say the site’s creators Janet Beckley and William Weem, art directors in public affairs and arts and sciences, respectively.

“It just makes sense to combine groups with these interests.”

The forum is a place “to share graphics, images and fonts, cool scripts, style sheets and code.” Subscribers also can submit questions to others.

For anyone setting up a Web site or getting a publication ready, the site is a place to get guidance to get through the process.
