Why she gives: “I give to provide funding for events that enable graduate students, faculty and alumni to interact outside of the classroom to enhance professional mentorship. When graduate students are asked during their exit interview what the highlight of their graduate program was, the answer is always ‘the opportunity to get to know faculty.’ In addition, funding visiting scientists fosters new collaborative scholarly endeavors with faculty and graduate students in the foods and nutrition department.”
