UGA Performing Arts Center wins Interactive Media Award for new website

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center has received the Interactive Media Award for outstanding achievement in website design.

IMA winners were selected by the Interactive Media Council, an international organization of leading web designers, developers and programmers, whose mission is to elevate the standards of excellence on the Internet.

In making the announcement, Aaron Warner of the IMA said, “The outstanding achievement award is an extremely challenging one to win. The Performing Arts Center’s website excelled in all areas of our judging criteria and represents a very high standard of planning, execution and overall professionalism.”

The Performing Arts Center shares the honor with Bluetube Interactive, the Atlanta-based company that worked with the staff for the past year to develop the new website. Paul Pezzano, chief operating officer of Bluetube, said, “We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with the team at the UGA Performing Arts Center to help them achieve their vision. This is indeed an impressive honor for all of us. The Interactive Media Awards are considered among the top website awards around the world.”

The Performing Arts Center’s new website was launched in May in conjunction with the announcement of the 2012-2013 performance season. To view the site, see http://pac.uga.edu/.
