Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center will present the UGA Theatre in the next installment of the Saturday Morning Club Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. in Hodgson Concert Hall. The educational family event will feature student performers from UGA’s department of theatre and film studies.
The performance features the UGA Children’s Theatre Troupe a production of “The Parrot,” an original play by master’s student Caity Johnson titled and based on an Italian folktale. The show incorporates digital media including a virtual parrot puppet controlled in real-time.
The Saturday Morning Club is designed for children 4-12 and their parents and grandparents. Upcoming performances include UGA Dance on March 28 and the UGA Symphony Orchestra on April 18.
