UGA Performing Arts Center wins again for website design

Athens, Ga. – The University of Georgia Performing Arts Center has been honored with another major award for its new website, winning the Web Marketing Association’s 2012 WebAward for best school website.

The WebAward comes less than two months after the Performing Arts Center won an interactive media award for outstanding achievement in website design. The Performing Arts Center shares both awards with Bluetube Interactive, the Atlanta-based company that helped design and build the new website.

Bluetube Interactive chief operating officer Paul Pezzano said, “The WebAward is definitely one of the top recognitions in the industry. It’s unusual for an organization to win two prestigious awards in one year, and we couldn’t be happier for our partners at the Performing Arts Center.”

The Web Marketing Association was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and website development and is the producer of the WebAward competition. The WebAwards are one of the industry’s longest running annual website award competitions.

The Performing Arts Center’s new website was launched in May in conjunction with the announcement of its 2012-2013 season. To view the site, see http://www.pac.uga.edu.
